Ode to Biscuitsbrown.com
While listening to the radio, feeling a bit sad, a bit blue, I heard about biscuitsbrown.com and decided what to do. It was a website for ex-forces, well that was me, ex - Greenfinch, Ex-army wife, so qualified, from the task I did not flinch. So I browsed the site and laughed, then I laughed some more, For it is full of wit and humour, no sight of blood and gore! Anecdotes, horror scope, agony aunties had me in thrall, The biscuitsbrown motto very apt, all for one, one for all! Then I discovered the forums, there has been no looking back, Interesting subjects, advice, reunions and news, it did not lack. Then I discovered that the guys and girls can really dish the dirt, And some have been known to tease (who moi?) and even flirt! Well Johnny T is our Webmaster, and keeps the site up-to-date, Then there is the lovely Cathy, live-in lover, his long suffering mate! The army, the navy, the airforce, even the Terriers, you can't fail, To swing the lantern, pull up a sandbag, tell that tall tale. There are some right characters, and here to name but a few, First the girlies, well there is Jordan, Caz (that's me) and CQ. Then there's Bleep, with covert cameras, into blackmail and surveillance, Trust him, he says he'll make you a star, no bloody chance! Desperate is a debonair devil, he's recently acquired a new career Working with plants and flowers, well that's if we let him out of here! Black Pig despite his name, is one of the Navy's more charming creatures, And in the forum Let Loose-unplugged he very often features. Along with our very own Coldstreamer, head and shoulders above the rest His avatar looks like Pepperami, a bit of an animal if put to the test! But under the control of the fair Jordan, who can always get one over The poor lad, then he goes home to his true love, his old range rover! Combat Queen reigns over us all, her wish, the guys command A firm task mistress, you should see the things she does demand! Lightningmk6, is a quick witted intelligent fellow, and such a whiz At anything technical, just ask him, he really is the biz! Alfie is a bit of an insomniac, he posts while we are all in bed, Ivor Corker, such a proud boast, you should read some of the things he said! He sometimes writes in French, quite beyond this poet's understanding, Think I'll stick to the other guys attempts at Spanish, far less demanding From the mists of time, an armoured Farmer, was Sapper Bernard, Tells some tall tales, for God's sake keep him off the pernod! If you are not mentioned today, I'll have something on you for next time, Its not bloody easy, writing poems with words that rhyme! Well there you have the motley crew, a community that is quite unique So come and join us, don't be shy, let loose a post, it will be trés magnífique!
